Women in need

The war caught my daughter and me in a village in the Kherson region in my mother's house. We survived 8 months of occupation. My mother died during the shelling, she was trying to save the dog. Our house is destroyed, it is impossible to live there. We were able to leave our village only after the liberation of Kherson. Now we are in Mykolayiv.

I moved from Kupiansk to Kharkiv. I have 4 children and I am a single mother. Our home in our hometown burned to the ground, all our things burned in it. At first, we lived with my father in his home, but the front line was near by, there were frequent shelling. My father stayed in his shelled house to help the soldiers. We are trying to settle down in Kharkiv.

I live with my family in the Zaporizhzhia region. My husband went to war as a volunteer in April 2022. I spoke to him for the last time in December. I still don't know if he is alive or not. I have a disability, I cannot walk, stand or sit for a long time. We have two minor children.

I live in Toretsk. 500 meters from my house is the first line of defense of our front. We have no water, electricity, or gas for a year. There are almost no people. We cook food on the fire in the yard. I have daughter and 3-year-old grandson.

The war took away my two eldest sons. One died on the battlefield. Another went missing while on a mission. I stayed with two preschoolers. I moved to the Ternopil region. I will not return to my native Sumy region.

I lived in Mariupol. I walked on crutches - I have a disability. In March 2022, a piece of shell flew into my apartment, I was badly injured. I was able to leave after a month. I am blind in one eye. I need joint surgery.
